This test will also help us figure out whether your cabinets are real wood or laminate. If your cabinets pass our test, then we can remove the doors and get started making them look revitalized again.

Taking Our Time to Sand Ensures Perfection!

To start the refinishing process, we begin by sanding your cabinets down to bare wood. Sanding is done very carefully, using only the appropriate grit sandpaper and sanding with the grain. Fine sandpaper is used at the end, followed by cleaning the surface. In addition, we carefully sand the wood frame around the cabinets, too.

Creating the Colour You Want on Your Kitchen Cabinets

To ensure you will be happy with the colour of stain chosen, we test out a small sample first. Once you are completely happy with the colour, we get to work on the actual piece by completing the detail areas first, followed by the rest. We allow time for the stain to properly soak into your cabinets and are sure to remove any excess from the cabinets as well as the wood frame. Once the first coat has been absorbed, we will apply a second coat.

After your kitchen cabinets have completely dried, we apply at least two coats of protective coating. New handles are added to the cabinet doors and the cupboards are reassembled. Now for the fun part: begin using and enjoying your refinished cabinets!
